When a commit is by someone who has an account on indefero, can their name in changelogs/latest updates etc be linked to their account?

AFAIK it works like that... the only constrain is that the author of the commit (in your SCM system) has to have the e-mail address registered in your indefero install for that to work.

You can also trick the system by doing a commit with "The user name <indeferologin>" as --author with git if you don't know the email address. Another solution would be to allow several email addresses for each user. br3nda, tell me what you think. (By the way, are you and your family/friends safe where you live?)
Summary: Link authors to indefero users

We're a wee way from any serious earthquake damage - though 2 earthquakes an hour for 4 days now has got everyone on edge. a multiple email address per user is good -- also mapping svn users to indefero users (and many of our git repos are svn or cvs imports without email info, too late to change now).

@Patrick: This ticket should also be resolved with the fix from issue 136, correct?

correct. This is solved together with issue 136
