Issue 246: Git 1.5.2.1 breaks on the --date=iso argument

Reported by Loïc d'Anterroches, Jul 1, 2009

the error is:
fatal: unrecognized argument: --date-iso

workaround 1: upgrade git
workaround 2: see how to emulate iso with the date format

Comment 1 by Loïc d'Anterroches, Jul 2, 2009

From the documentation, it is not possible to put something like
--date=format:"date format" to emulate the --date=iso.

As the one having the issue upgraded without problems his version of
git, I am closing the ticket.
